About The Position

As a Security Officer - Dispatch Center in Seattle, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 2 or more years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 or more years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and the public by following site-specific policies, supporting access control requests, and assisting with emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Receive and triage calls for service and alarms, dispatch assigned personnel, and coordinate response actions using radio, phone, and computer-aided dispatch systems.
  • Monitor cameras, communications channels, and other security-related systems, reporting suspicious activity and conditions that may help to deter incidents.
  • Create clear, timely incident reports and activity logs, maintain accurate records of calls and dispatch actions, and notify supervisors and client contacts per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with onsite staff and public agencies as directed by procedures.
