As a Dispatch Officer with Allied Universal at an education location, you will be the communication hub for security-related activity, monitoring systems, tracking patrol status, and routing calls for service. You will document incidents, support on-site teams with clear updates, and deliver customer-focused assistance to students, staff, and visitors. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be comfortable using a computer and/or tablet, preferred.
  • Have CPR certification, preferred.
  • Have a guard card and/or license, preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors and/or contractors by following site-specific procedures, security-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Dispatch officers and/or campus resources via radio, phone, and electronic systems, including receiving calls for service, prioritizing requests, and coordinating response to alarms and incidents.
  • Monitor cameras, access control systems, and other dispatch technology; document and relay pertinent information to on-site personnel and/or management.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including communicating instructions, requesting assistance from local responders when needed, and maintaining incident logs.
  • Complete detailed reports and shift documentation, including incident reports, dispatch activity logs, and follow-up notifications per site requirements.
