Job Description As a Security Officer - Command Center Dispatch in Norfolk, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Dispatch Security Officer with Allied Universal at a tech, media, and telecom location, you will monitor security-related systems, coordinate officer communications, and help guide responses to incidents and service requests. You will complete routine patrol coordination, maintain a visible presence through strong communication, and deliver customer service to employees and visitors. Requirements

• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors at a tech, media, and/or telecom location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor dispatch communications and security-related systems, coordinate field officer activities, and document calls for service, incidents, and key actions taken.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
• Operate access control and visitor management processes, including issuing credentials, managing keys and/or equipment logs, and supporting contractor and delivery check-in procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, reporting maintenance concerns, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations to management.
