Job Description As a Security Officer - Dispatch Center in Hillsboro, OR , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Dispatch Officer at a leading healthcare location, you will be the communication hub for security-related operations, monitoring systems, coordinating officer response, and documenting activity with clear, professional reports. You will support routine patrol coverage, assist staff and visitors with customer-focused service, and help maintain a visible, prepared presence across the site. Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by following site-specific policies, completing access and visitor management tasks, and supporting security-related procedures and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Receive, prioritize, and dispatch calls for service, alarms, and incident reports; coordinate response activities with on-site personnel and local emergency services as needed.
  • Monitor security-related systems including phones, radios, cameras, and alarm panels; communicate clear updates, relay instructions, and document status changes in real time.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, gather key details, and complete accurate reports, logs, and notifications per policy.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter when assigned, and report unusual conditions, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns to the appropriate contacts.
