About The Position

As a Security Officer Deterrence Patrol in Boston, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Our Security Officers monitor and patrol a financial institution location, helping to discourage security-related incidents while delivering exceptional customer service and communication. In this unarmed patrol role, you will complete routine rounds, support access awareness, and assist with incident response and reporting. Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a financial services location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following post instructions and Allied Universal protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including lobbies, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter access points, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and visitor activity, and report suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations to the appropriate contact.
• Support access control activities by checking credentials, documenting visitor and vendor arrivals, and communicating clearly with staff, guests, and/or first responders as needed.
