About The Position

As a Security Officer Data Center in Englewood, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a technology-focused location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control and alarm response activities. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees while following site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response protocols at a technology infrastructure location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility interior, exterior, perimeter, parking areas, and critical infrastructure areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization in accordance with site requirements, and maintain accurate visitor and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Report maintenance concerns, access-control issues, and other security-related observations to site leadership in a timely manner.
