About The Position

As a Security Officer Customer Service in Provo, UT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Security Officer at a retail and mall location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to visitors and tenants. This driving position offers the opportunity to support a welcoming environment through clear communication, teamwork, and integrity while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and caring culture.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail common areas, parking areas, exterior perimeters, and other assigned locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to supervisors, property management, and/or emergency responders.
