As a Security Officer Customer Service Patrol in Piscataway, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a premier retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and assist customers and staff with professionalism. You will report security-related concerns, communicate clearly, and contribute to a welcoming environment. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR certification is preferred.
Comfortability using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide exceptional customer service to clients, visitors, and/or shoppers while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, sales floor, entrances, stock areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and delivery activity in accordance with site-specific procedures.
Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters to appropriate personnel as needed.
Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
