As a Security Officer Customer Assistance Patrol in Herndon, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. Join Allied Universal at a premier hotel and resort location, where you will patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues to site contacts and/or first responders when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the hotel property, including lobbies, corridors, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points, observe guest and visitor traffic, and support lobby and common area coverage while maintaining a professional presence throughout the location.
  • Document incidents, disturbances, and policy-related concerns, and communicate clearly with management, staff, guests, and/or public emergency personnel regarding security-related matters.
