About The Position

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by following access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorizations, and document access activity in support of site access control requirements.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts as needed regarding security-related concerns.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, noting suspicious activity, unsecured areas, and/or conditions that could require follow-up.
  • Support contractor, employee, and visitor processing by confirming identification, issuing temporary access materials when authorized, and explaining site rules and reporting procedures.
