About The Position

As a Security Officer Credential Screening in Port Saint Lucie, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will use screening procedures to support a secure environment, monitor access points, conduct X-ray screening as assigned, and help deter security-related incidents through a visible, professional presence. Deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while working with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and guided by integrity.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and drivers at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel entering designated areas in accordance with site procedures.
• Inspect packages, bags, and other authorized items as directed, reporting suspicious or prohibited items to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, access points, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
