Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and members of the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing information with appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, public areas, parking locations, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, screening areas, and restricted locations to help to support orderly movement of employees and visitors while following post orders and security-related procedures.
• Complete incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation, and/or communicate noteworthy activity to supervisors, court personnel, and/or local responders as needed.
