As a Security Officer - Corporate Patrol in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Must be able to work varying shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends, as part of Branch Flex assignments.
  • Reliable transportation is required for Branch Flex assignments.
  • Must be available for last minute shift scheduling as part of Branch Flex assignments.
  • Must be able to meet Branch Flex travel distance requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and help to support orderly operations during routine and elevated activity.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to identify unusual activity and/or potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points and observe site activity to help to deter unauthorized entry, support visitor screening practices, and/or report maintenance or environmental issues to the appropriate contacts.
  • Complete required reports and communicate with site contacts, supervisors, and/or emergency personnel regarding incidents, observations, and follow-up actions.
