About The Position
As a Security Officer at a Corporate Lobby Reception in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Requirements
- Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
- Be 21 years of age or older.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and property management personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, access concerns, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and notification procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of commercial property interiors, parking areas, common areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations.
- Monitor access points and observe visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site-specific procedures.
- Prepare clear and accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift handoff communications.
