Job Description As a Security Officer - Corporate Center Patrol in Houston, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will interact with tenants, visitors, and staff, provide clear communication, and document observations using site tools. You will bring integrity and teamwork to every shift in a caring culture that puts people first.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Having a guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Having customer service experience is preferred.
• Having CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting property management and/or emergency services as needed and documenting actions taken.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior common areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity, identify hazards, and report maintenance concerns.
• Control access to the property by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials when required, and directing visitors, deliveries, and contractors according to site procedures.
• Complete detailed patrol and incident reports, utilize communication systems and surveillance tools as assigned, and support investigations by preserving observations and reporting unusual activity.
