About The Position

As a Security Officer - Corporate Center Patrol in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will interact with tenants, visitors, and staff, provide clear communication, and document observations using site tools. You will bring integrity and teamwork to every shift in a caring culture that puts people first.

Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Having a guard card and/or license is preferred.
Having customer service experience is preferred.
Having CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting property management and/or emergency services as needed and documenting actions taken.
Conduct regular and random patrols of interior common areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity, identify hazards, and report maintenance concerns.
Control access to the property by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials when required, and directing visitors, deliveries, and contractors according to site procedures.
Complete detailed patrol and incident reports, utilize communication systems and surveillance tools as assigned, and support investigations by preserving observations and reporting unusual activity.
