Requirements

• A New York State Security Guard License is required.
• Applicants must be 21+ years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, maintenance concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to property management and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the commercial real estate location, including common areas, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter locations, while observing and reporting unusual activity and/or property-related issues.
• Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry, policy violations, and/or disruptive behavior through visible presence and consistent application of post instructions.
• Complete routine reports, incident documentation, and shift activity logs, and share updates with Allied Universal leadership and/or designated site contacts.
