As a Security Officer Controlled Entry in Richmond, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out access control procedures, visitor check-in and badge verification, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, process guest and contractor arrivals, and report access irregularities in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations with professionalism, documenting security-related concerns and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, noting unusual activity, unlocked access points, and/or conditions that could impact daily operations.
• Support front lobby and access management functions by helping to deter unauthorized entry, providing directions to employees and visitors, and maintaining accurate activity logs.
