About The Position

As a Security Officer Controlled Access in Milford, DE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a food and beverage location, you will help manage entry points, verify authorized access, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a food production location.
  • Monitor and control access points by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor entry records, and directing authorized individuals to designated areas.
  • Screen incoming and outgoing traffic in accordance with site procedures, including deliveries and employee entry, to help protect controlled production and distribution areas.
  • Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and promptly communicate relevant information to site leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, facility grounds, and perimeter areas, reporting unusual conditions or maintenance concerns.
