As a Security Officer - Construction Coverage in Mesa, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Patrol Officer at a dynamic tech location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A current Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, guests, and/or visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts and/or public emergency services when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout offices, common areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other designated areas within a fast-paced technology-focused location, assisting with visitor processing, badge verification, and reporting of policy violations.
  • Support day-to-day operations by completing incident reports, maintaining awareness of site conditions, and following Allied Universal standards along with client-directed protocols.
