About The Position

As a Security Officer - Condominium Complex Patrol in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a residential location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service to residents and guests. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, property rules, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document security-related activities according to site guidelines.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with entry procedures, and report maintenance concerns, hazards, and/or policy violations to the appropriate contacts.
  • Support a professional residential environment by communicating clearly with residents and property staff, following post orders, and completing assigned security-related duties throughout the shift.
