As a Security Officer - Condominium Building Patrol in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Security Officer in a residential community, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and property management by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with supervisors, residents, and/or local responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the residential community, including common areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations, to help identify unusual activity and/or maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor access points and observe resident and visitor traffic to help support community rules, report suspicious behavior, and/or address concerns in a professional manner.
  • Assist with routine reporting, incident documentation, and shift pass-down communications to help maintain awareness of property activity and/or ongoing issues at the location.
