As a Front Desk officer in a healthcare location, you will welcome staff and visitors, support access control and visitor badging, and monitor cameras and alarms to help identify and report security-related concerns. You will answer calls, document activity, and use computer or tablet tools to keep information organized. Requirements
- Client requires proof of high school diploma and/or GED.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
- Staff a front desk post to help manage access by greeting visitors, verifying identification and/or appointments, issuing visitor credentials, and directing individuals to the appropriate department.
- Monitor alarms, cameras, and communication channels, and report unusual activity according to post orders and established protocols.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications and documenting actions taken.
- Complete required logs and reports, maintain awareness of lobby and reception areas, and assist with security-related administrative tasks as assigned by Allied Universal and/or site leadership.
