Job Description As a Security Officer - Community Patrol Driver in Asheville, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at an aerospace and defense location, you will conduct routine rounds, stay visibly present to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to reports with clear communication and customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license in the job state. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and/or access requirements at an aerospace and defense location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report information to site leadership and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and security-related systems as assigned, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and assist with traffic flow and deliveries in accordance with site procedures.
  • Complete timely documentation such as shift reports, incident reports, and patrol logs, and communicate observations and follow-up needs to oncoming personnel.
