As an unarmed patrol officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support staff, patients, and visitors with professional customer service and clear communication while documenting observations and reporting concerns. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical facility disturbances, visitor concerns, and/or access issues.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the medical campus, including interior corridors, lobbies, parking areas, and perimeter routes; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor access points and assist with authorized entry processes, visitor directions, and/or compliance with posted facility rules.
  • Complete detailed reports on incidents, patrol observations, and/or policy violations, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
