About The Position

As a Security Officer - Community Patrol in Council Bluffs, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced tech and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and serve as a helpful point of contact for employees and visitors. You will document observations, communicate clearly, and support a welcoming environment. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout offices, lobbies, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance and security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and observe activity for unusual conditions; verify credentials as required by post orders and report concerns to site leadership.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with medical calls, evacuations, and other site alarms as directed.
  • Document patrols, incidents, and security-related observations in written reports and/or electronic systems; communicate updates promptly to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
