About The Position

As a Security Officer - Community Patrol in Prince George, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a fast-paced tech and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will document observations, respond to alarms and requests, and communicate clearly with onsite teams and visitors. Requirements

  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and post orders in a technology-focused location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and visitor flow as assigned, verifying identification and/or authorization, issuing visitor credentials when required, and directing individuals to appropriate locations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support, contacting emergency services when needed, and notifying site leadership per protocol.
  • Document patrol activities, incidents, and observations through written reports and/or digital logs, and communicate relevant information to oncoming personnel and Allied Universal supervision.
