About The Position

As a Security Officer - Commercial Real Estate Desk in Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional at a prominent commercial real estate location, you will be the first point of contact for visitors and tenants, providing outstanding customer service while monitoring access and responding to security-related concerns. Your role will help to deter incidents and maintain a welcoming environment, utilizing technology and your communication skills to support the values of Allied Universal—teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

Requirements

Customer service experience is preferred.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors at the front desk by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner at the location.
Monitor access to the premises by verifying credentials and/or providing visitor management services.
Communicate professionally with building tenants, guests, and staff to address inquiries and/or direct them as needed.
Assist with emergency response activities as outlined in site-specific protocols.
Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and/or unusual activities according to Allied Universal and client requirements.
Maintain a visible presence at the front desk to help to deter unauthorized access and/or disruptive behavior.
