Job Description As a Security Officer - Commercial Real Estate Desk in Cambridge, MA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer with Allied Universal in a commercial real estate location, you will be the first point of contact for visitors and tenants. Your role will involve monitoring access, managing badges, and providing outstanding customer service while helping to deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, guests, and visitors by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk.
  • Monitor access to the location by verifying identification and managing visitor logs, helping to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as appropriate.
  • Maintain a visible presence at the front desk to help to deter disruptive or unwanted behavior.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as needed, following Allied Universal and site protocols.
  • Communicate professionally with building staff, tenants, and visitors to address inquiries and provide assistance.
  • Document security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal and site requirements.
