About The Position

As a Security Officer Commercial Building Patrol in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology and media location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will use technology to document activity and assist visitors and employees while working with a reliable, innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Requirements

• Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or 5+ years of armed security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology and media campus by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, offices, common areas, parking facilities, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and assist with access-control procedures in accordance with site requirements.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observed incidents, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel and/or Allied Universal leadership.
