As an Unarmed Security Officer at a college location, you will monitor and patrol campus areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control activities, and provide outstanding customer service to students, staff, and visitors. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Candidates must be at least 21 years of age (C101).
A valid driver's license is required in accordance with the AU Driver Policy Requirements (C123).
Candidates should have prior experience with access control systems and badge management (B201).
Familiarity with alarm panel systems is necessary (B202).
Candidates must be comfortable using computers or tablets for daily tasks (B204).
A background in customer service is essential for all positions (B219).
Candidates should be able to lift more than 20 lbs (B209).

A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Respond to incidents, calls for service, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, residence hall exteriors, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor for unusual conditions, access concerns, and maintenance-related hazards, and report observations to the appropriate personnel.
Document incidents, patrol activities, and shift-related information accurately and communicate relevant updates to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
