Requirements

  • Hospital vaccinations are required.
  • This position is in a hospital setting and may involve working in and/or around the morgue.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals, as required in a hospital environment.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access support, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document security-related concerns according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or conditions that may require attention.
  • Monitor entrances, lobbies, and restricted areas, assist with visitor screening and direction, and report security-related policy violations and/or suspicious behavior to the appropriate personnel.
  • Support a professional atmosphere by communicating clearly with patients, staff, and visitors, de-escalating tense situations when possible, and following Allied Universal standards and site expectations.
