As an unarmed patrol officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols and area checks, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support employees and visitors with clear directions and professional customer service. You will document observations, communicate concerns promptly, and partner with your team to keep operations running smoothly. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

  • A state, county, and/or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel and/or public resources as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter spaces to help to deter unwanted activity and identify policy concerns.
  • Control access to designated areas by monitoring entry points, verifying authorization as required, and directing visitors and deliveries in accordance with site procedures.
  • Complete required documentation such as patrol logs, incident reports, and shift activity records, and communicate relevant information to the Allied Universal supervisor and/or site contacts.
