As an Access Control professional with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a chemical and petrochemical location, helping to deter security-related incidents and support a secure environment. Your role includes conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and providing outstanding customer service. Requirements

  • A Transportation Security Administration issued Transportation Worker Identification Credential is required.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor access points to help control entry and exit of personnel and vehicles at the location, following site-specific procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for irregularities.
  • Provide customer service by assisting visitors and employees with site-related inquiries and access procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Maintain detailed logs and reports of access control activities and incidents as required by site policy.
  • Communicate promptly with Allied Universal management and/or site contacts regarding security-related matters and incidents.
  • Support emergency response activities as directed, including following evacuation or containment procedures if necessary.
