As a Security Officer - Chemical Access Point in Point Comfort, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entry points and conducting routine patrols within a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location. You will remain visible, provide outstanding customer service, and communicate clearly with visitors and staff. Requirements

  • A Transportation Security Administration issued Transportation Worker Identification Credential is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control access to the location by verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering and exiting the premises.
  • Follow site-specific policies and procedures related to access control in a chemical and petrochemical environment.
  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and contractors by addressing questions and assisting with site entry procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and report any irregularities.
  • Maintain accurate logs and documentation of all access control activities and incidents.
  • Support emergency response activities as required by site protocols and Allied Universal guidelines.
