Requirements

• 2+ years of security-related experience are required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, screening protocols, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a government location.
• Screen visitors, staff, and/or permitted items at designated entry points using assigned screening equipment and established access procedures.
• Respond to incidents, prohibited items, and/or unusual activity in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, and document observations according to post instructions.
• Monitor entrances, waiting areas, and other assigned locations, while helping to deter unauthorized access and supporting orderly movement throughout the facility.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around assigned areas and the perimeter, as directed by site procedures and the needs of the location.
