Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer at an education location, where you will conduct routine patrols, support access awareness, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or faculty by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing relevant information with site contacts and/or local responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and report security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity across the location, assisting with visitor direction, policy awareness, and other assigned duties that support daily operations.
• Support a professional environment by communicating clearly with the public and site personnel, following post orders, and reporting maintenance, lighting, and/or other property-related issues noticed during patrols.
