About The Position

As a Security Officer Campus Patrol in Wilmington, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Requirements

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at an educational location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting relevant details and communicating with campus contacts and supervisors.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, walkways, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and observe campus activity to help to deter unauthorized entry, support visitors, students, faculty, and staff, and report policy-related concerns.
• Assist with security-related requests, alarms, and/or calls for service, following post orders and Allied Universal guidelines while maintaining professionalism in a dynamic campus environment.
