About The Position

As a Security Officer - Campus Driver Rounds in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading tech and data center location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to reduce security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. You will deliver strong customer service, clear communication, and detailed reporting while supporting a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, people-first, and guided by integrity.

Requirements

  • The client requires proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology data center location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken and notifying site leadership and/or emergency services as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, entrances, equipment areas, and the perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Control access by checking identification and/or authorization for employees, contractors, and visitors, directing traffic and managing deliveries according to site requirements.
  • Complete daily activity reports and incident reports, monitor security-related systems as assigned, and communicate promptly with Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
