You will support access points, communicate clearly with team members and site leadership, and deliver customer-focused service aligned with our agile, reliable, innovative culture. This is a driving post, so a valid commercial driver’s license is required.

Requirements

  • Possess a valid commercial driver’s license.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, drivers, and visitors at a logistics and distribution location by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the warehouse, yard, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards, access issues, and policy violations.
  • Monitor access points such as gates, docks, and entry doors, verify identification and/or shipping documentation as required, and control authorized entry for people and vehicles.
  • Complete reports and logs such as patrol activity, incident documentation, and shift turnover notes, and communicate updates to Allied Universal supervision and/or site contacts.
