As a Security Officer- Campus Center Patrol - Full Time in Honolulu, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. Your presence and routine patrols help to deter security-related incidents while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication. Requirements
- A Guard Card or license is preferred.
- A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, students, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the educational location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the campus buildings and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards.
- Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and promote a secure environment for the educational community.
- Document security-related incidents, observations, and actions taken during patrols or upon responding to situations.
- Assist with emergency response activities as directed, supporting campus protocols and Allied Universal procedures.
- Communicate professionally with campus personnel and the public to provide information and assistance as needed.
