About The Position

As a Security Officer - Campus Patrol in Eden, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within an educational location. You will remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, respond to situations as needed, and provide outstanding customer service through clear communication. Requirements

Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
X-ray screening experience is preferred.
Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, staff, and visitors at the location by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with security-related needs as they arise.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the educational facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and to observe for any unusual conditions.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of patrols, observations, and incidents according to site-specific guidelines.
Communicate professionally with staff, students, and visitors, providing assistance and information as required.
Work collaboratively with Allied Universal team members and site personnel to address security-related concerns within the educational environment.
Remain alert to potential security-related hazards and report any concerns to the appropriate personnel.
