About The Position

As a Security Officer - Building Concierge in Irvine, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Front Desk Officer in a commercial real estate office setting, you will be the first point of contact for tenants and visitors, supporting a welcoming experience while helping manage security-related access. You will monitor entry activity, assist with badging and access control, respond to alarms and panel notifications, and communicate clearly with building teams. Requirements

  • Have at least 6 months of security experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate office location.
  • Operate the front desk by greeting and directing visitors, managing sign-in processes, and issuing visitor access credentials per site-specific policy.
  • Monitor access points and lobby activity, observe for unusual conditions, and report concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Answer telephones and radios, relay messages to building staff and/or property management, and document routine activity and incident details in required logs.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications and assisting with evacuations and/or medical response as directed by site procedures.
