About The Position

As a Security Officer - Lobby Concierge in Westmont, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Front Desk Officer in a fast-paced tech and telecom location, you will be the first point of contact for employees, vendors, and guests. You will manage access control, verify credentials, issue badges, monitor cameras and alarms, document security-related activity, and coordinate responses with onsite teams. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Operate a front desk post by greeting and directing visitors, verifying identification, issuing and collecting visitor credentials, and managing sign-in and/or access requests per site policy.
  • Monitor access control systems, cameras, alarms, radios, and/or phones; report unusual activity and escalate concerns according to post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site contacts and emergency services when needed.
  • Prepare complete reports and logs, document incidents and service requests, and communicate shift handoff information to support continuous security-related coverage at a technology-focused location.
