As a Front Desk Officer at an education location, you will welcome students, staff, and visitors, manage access control and badge verification, and monitor entry activity to help reduce security-related incidents. You will provide clear directions, respond to questions, and document issues while staying visible and approachable. Requirements

• CPO is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Customer Service Experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, and visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures, front desk policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Control access at the front desk by greeting and screening visitors, managing sign-in and/or sign-out logs, issuing temporary badges, and directing guests to appropriate locations.
• Monitor front desk activity, cameras and/or alarm panels as assigned, and report unusual activity to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision to help to deter unauthorized access.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate responders and completing required notifications.
• Document daily activity, visitor interactions, and incident details in written reports and/or electronic systems while maintaining confidentiality in an educational location.
