As a Security Officer - Lobby Concierge in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Front Desk Officer at a leading tech and telecom location, you will greet employees and visitors, manage check-in and/or badge access, and support access control and alarm panel response. You will stay highly visible at the lobby post, help to deter security-related incidents through professional presence, and communicate clearly with teams during routine activity and unexpected events. Requirements

  • Have 1+ years' law enforcement experience or 2+ years' security-related supervisor/manager experience or 3+ years' security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors and employees at the front desk by following Allied Universal post orders, site-specific policies, and assigned security-related procedures.
  • Manage access control by greeting guests, verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining visitor and delivery logs, and directing individuals to the proper contacts within the location.
  • Monitor security-related systems from the front desk, such as alarms, CCTV, and communications channels, and document notable activity according to site guidelines.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, coordinating with on-site teams and/or local responders, and supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Complete shift documentation such as incident reports, access logs, and daily activity reports, and communicate pass-down information to the next shift and/or site leadership.
