Learn more: aus.com/earnmore. As a Front Desk Officer in a healthcare location, you will greet patients, visitors, and staff while supporting a welcoming first point of contact. You will manage access control, monitor activity from the reception area, respond to calls for assistance, and document security-related concerns with clear communication. Requirements

  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at the front desk by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare location.
  • Control access to the facility by greeting and screening visitors, confirming identification and/or appointments as required, issuing visitor badges when applicable, and directing guests to the correct department.
  • Monitor lobby activity and front desk systems such as phones, radios, cameras, and/or access control panels, and report unusual activity according to site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including summoning medical staff, contacting local responders, and/or completing required notifications.
  • Complete shift logs, visitor records, and incident documentation, and communicate relevant updates to oncoming personnel and site leadership.
