Requirements

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific procedures and front desk protocols at a commercial office location.
  • Monitor access to the lobby and visitor entry points, verify credentials as required, and direct guests to the appropriate destination in a courteous manner.
  • Answer phones, assist with visitor check-in, maintain front desk activity logs, and communicate security-related concerns to building management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following property procedures and emergency response guidelines.
  • Support a professional lobby presence by observing daily activity, reporting maintenance or security-related issues, and helping to deter unauthorized access or disruptions.
