About The Position

As a Security Officer Building Access Control in Newport Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Requirements

Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and actions according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office buildings, common areas, parking facilities, and the property perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations.
Monitor access points, visitor activity, and parking areas; provide directions and assistance while maintaining a professional presence at the commercial office location.
Communicate with property management, tenants, and emergency responders as needed, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
