About The Position

As a Security Officer - Broadcast Center Full Time in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and production personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a media and broadcasting location.
• Monitor entrances, exits, visitor activity, and restricted areas; verify credentials and direct authorized guests in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting observations as required.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, production spaces, parking areas, and perimeter to identify and report unusual conditions or security-related concerns.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, patrol findings, and other security-related activities, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
